A complete polyethylene pipe production line has been successfully delivered to a manufacturing facility in Sydney, Australia, marking a significant step in expanding local extrusion capacity for water and gas distribution systems.

The newly delivered PE plastic pipe machine is designed for continuous, high-output operation. It can produce pipes ranging from 20mm to 160mm in diameter, with a maximum extrusion speed of 250 meters per minute. The system includes an energy-efficient single-screw extruder, a vacuum calibration tank, a multi-belt haul-off unit, and an automatic cutting and stacking system.

According to the machinery supplier, the equipment underwent factory acceptance testing before shipment and arrived at the Port of Sydney on schedule. The production line is now being installed at the buyer’s facility, with commercial production expected to begin in July 2026.

Local industry analysts note that Australia is increasing its investment in pipeline infrastructure, including rural irrigation, urban water supply, and natural gas distribution. The new PE pipe extrusion line is expected to help meet rising demand for durable, corrosion-resistant pipes that meet strict Australian standards.

A spokesperson for the Australian buyer stated, “This machine offers the precision and reliability we need to serve our civil engineering clients. We chose this model because of its low energy consumption and automated controls, which will reduce our operating costs.”

The machinery manufacturer, which specializes in plastic extrusion equipment, has delivered similar production lines to markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The Australian delivery is part of a broader push into the Oceanian market, driven by growing demand for locally produced PE pipes.

The machine will primarily produce pipes for potable water and natural gas transmission, complying with ISO 4427 and AS/NZS 4130 standards. After startup, the line is expected to run 24 hours a day, five days per week, with a production capacity of approximately 300 metric tons per month.
