Industrial equipment manufacturer Vanguard Machinery has successfully shipped and delivered a state-of-the-art plastic pipe production line to Anadolu Plastik, a leading Turkish construction materials supplier. The shipment, which arrived at the Port of Kocaeli last week, marks a significant investment in Turkey's domestic manufacturing infrastructure.
The turnkey production line is designed for high-volume manufacturing of PVC and HDPE pipes ranging from 16mm to 630mm diameter, suitable for municipal water, irrigation, and industrial applications. It includes twin-screw extruders, vacuum calibration tanks, haul-offs, cutting units, and stacking systems.
"This new line allows us to significantly boost local production capacity and reduce import dependency," said Mehmet Yılmaz, CEO of Anadolu Plastik. "The advanced automation ensures we meet both Turkish standards (TSE) and European quality benchmarks for critical infrastructure projects."
The shipment involved specialized logistics to transport over 40 containers of heavy machinery from Vanguard's factory in Germany. Installation and commissioning by Vanguard engineers are scheduled to begin this month, with full operational capacity expected by Q4 2025. Industry analysts note this aligns with Turkey's push to modernize its water infrastructure and expand construction exports.
